For the past year, I've been teaching classes at my studio to kids through the Larimer County Department of Human Services. The kids are between the ages of 13 and 18, and previous to attending class, none of them have ever used an SLR camera. Yet, I'm always amazed at the quality of work they produce!
Part of the class is giving the kids an opportunity to exhibit and sell their work. It's been amazing to see how the kids gain confidence as their work is shown (and sold!) to the community. We hold four shows a year at the studio, and the next is coming up on Friday, April 10! All proceeds from sales go directly to the kids.
